Hardiness / Disease Resistance: Very good resistance to scab; developed in New Brunswick, Canada (1965).
Description: Deep burgundy to purplish skin with white flesh streaked with red veins. Sweet-tart flavor; resists browning — ideal for drying.
Use: Fresh eating, drying, dessert use.
Notes: A more “unusual” variety — hardy, visually striking, and great-tasting.
