Honeycrisp

Hardiness / Resistance: Zone 4b. Moderate resistance to scab; somewhat sensitive to fire blight in humid regions but generally performs well.

Description: Large red-yellow fruit with firm, exceptionally crisp flesh and a balanced sweet-tart flavor. Developed in Minnesota (Zone 3) to tolerate cold winters, though sensitive to spring frost.

Use: Fresh eating, salads, juice. Excellent storage life: 3–5 months.

Notes: A very popular commercial variety for its outstanding flavor. Requires annual pruning and performs best in well-drained soil with full sun exposure.
